Participation in the Focus Groups are made through appointment by the SCSRM Executive Committee. The Focus Groups will provide quarterly reports on their activities to the Executive Committee, making recommendations on their areas of expertise.
The Focus Groups will be reviewed and may be updated from time to time as the need for changes to the groups' structure are desired by the Executive Committee.
Workers' Compensation Focus Group
The Workers' Comp Focus Group is involved in the JPA's workers' compensation program, including actuarial review, claims settlement, review and development of coverage documents, development of a formula for experience modification calculation and work with SCSRM staff to develop and update best practices relating to management of a workers' compensation program.
Property & Liability and Other Programs Focus Group (P&L)
The P&L and Other Programs Focus Group will address the administration of all programs not otherwise assigned to another Focus Group, including, but not limited to, the Liability, Property, Crime, Participant Accident Insurance, Auto Physical Damage, Student Accident and Foreign Travel Liability Programs, as well as new program development. The Focus Group will assist in the review of annual actuarial reports, rating plans, as well as the development of policies and coverage documents as related to the L&P program. Training, service provider RFP development and selection will also be handled by this Focus Group.

Risk Control & Member Training Focus Group (Risk Control Committee)
The Risk Control Focus Group assists in the development, implementation and evaluation of various training programs aimed at developing safety and loss control awareness among the SCSRM membership affecting liability, property and workers' compensation programs. The Risk Control Focus Group will also evaluate safety credit and risk control reimbursement applications and lead professional development of the SCSRM membership in the field of risk management through on-line programming, the Safety Academy the Learning Institute.
